Just because it's brown doesn't mean that it is dirty. I surf the Severn tidal bore many many times each year. The water usually looks like brown soup but I never get ill from it. It is natural sediment in the water. I guess some would say that the sediment is dirt......if so, I say it is clean dirt.

But do you even know what causes the river to be brown? Just cause rivers are clear where you are from doesn't mean all rivers "should" be clear. A simple google search would have revealed to you that the river is brown from natural causes and has nothing to do with it being dirty or not being what a river should look like. Too bad your education didn't include simple research.

JUST cause its brown, does not mean its dirty. You're VERY right. But 99% of the time? If its brown, when it should be clear. That means what again? Ah yes. Its dirty. Now, to what scale of filth? I honestly couldn't tell you. But coming from Hawaii, where the only "riverwave" we had was filled with grossness? Yea... I'm going out on a limb and say I've got some education. You should join the club. We get bumper stickers. =)
