When I did Chung Moo Quan it was $60 bucks a month for 3 days a week classes and there was no belt fees. In fact you didn't have to buy a new belt because you took the same belt and dyed part of it black to showed your ranking. When I became an instructor (no extra charge) I stopped paying dues all together. Now I'm not speaking for the other schools and I am only speaking from my personal expierence. Also, it is obvious that these news report is completely biase and blown out of porportion.
I took regular lessons then private lessons then special private lessons then declined to take black belt lessons at $250 a month. This school is run with the intention to make money first and foremost. The physical conditioning is excellent and there is a lot to be gained in that respect. What this school lacked was the means to advance without deep pockets or practical lessons how to fight. The school became more business &cult like over time under the guise of being true martial arts.

i can see why people cant get over them selves because of the pain they miss and the fact that was the only time they had a life. and its a shame good men get blamed who where in charge when it was morons who where runing around making trouble should every one blame the owners of stores or other bussiness for their employes mistakes thats why its sad to see this kind of thing because Chung su nim was a good man and was to kind to a bunch of flunkies who couldnt make it as any thing.
i trained in the 80 in the Chi town area and it is shame to me the schools was the best thing i ever found in my life and growing up in Humboldt park their is a lot of bad things a kid can run into school was a way for me to make something of my self and its messed up that a few bad people ruined such a good thing and glad to have experinced schools if there where schools still here in chicago i would not hesitate to sign up CSN gave me a chance at life i will alwasy be thank ful
