What do Zen Buddhism, hardcore punk and Japanese monster movies have in common? We don't know either, but bass player turned Zen Master Brad Warner stitches it altogether for us. Violet Blue gets the skinny from Warner at Green Apple Books in San Francisco, after a signing for his most recent book, Zen Wrapped in Karma Dipped in Chocolate: A Trip Through Death, Sex, Divorce, and Spiritual Celebrity in Search of the True Dharma.
" youre 25, you dont have to listen to Journey!" really cracked me up! But then again, I actually love Journey. Hm, I wonder if that means Im a hipster, really hope not :/

To state that you are aware of the occult influence on society through out history but can't recognize the Post Modern Nietsche( however you spell it) Nihilistic Cosmology( something a lover of history would be aware of) put forth by Manson in his music and art is highly dubious at best, again research is up to you, it's just as easy as you say, to surf the net. Your ignorance is your responsibility.

I'm aware that there has been influence from the occult throughout the centuries. History is one of my favourite subjects.
And yes, I'm an excellent researcher, you're right. But seriously -- I'm not asking you for a fifteen-thousand word thesis on Marilyn Manson here. I'm only asking that you to direct me towards the best starting point that you know of to give some credibility to your statements. No babysitting...no work...just an url link or ISBN number or something. Easy!

The sad fact is that your statements only reflect that you are unaware of the occult influence on society throughout history, i.e. Benjamin Franklin and the Hellfire Club , Giordano Bruno. You are a grown man search for yourself I'm not your babysitter. To argue points such as spelling is trivial to the arguemnet. Do the research because you are simply wrong.

You're clearly just some Manson fanboy. Just because the guy likes to fly in the face of Christianity and traditional gender roles, etc, etc, does not make him some counterculture revolutionary. He's a pop act, pure and simple.
Oh, and I'm not looking for the information -- my challenge to you was to present me with something he's written or done that measures up to the standards of the people you've mentioned (amongst your spelling errors).

The information you are looking for is out there, you just need to search the net. Yes I am saying that like any other person outside of the norm who has challenged the status quoe throughout history , which has caused society to become aware of it's real place, he is the one within the art and music world today that has had a impact on society for the past 20 years. Early visionaries were just as effected by heretic occult artists like manson more than you seem to be aware of.

If you think that people like Kant didn't rub shoulders with poets and artists than you do not fully understand world history and philosophy and the inspirations behind world thought that propells Western history.

I love when people don't know what they're talking about... it's amusing.

In the length of Milleniums, a few hundread years is comparitivley short, study world history and the copernican revolution and you'll find it hasn't been that long.

Okay, I chewed on it a while.
I already acknowledged on my own that Marilyn Manson's obviously a thoughtful guy, but you seem to be suggesting that he's some kind of real visionary. I mean, you compared him to those first explorers and early astronomers who contemplated our REAL place in the universe!
Can you link me to some of Manson's lectures, books etc? His newsletter? I want to give him the credit he's "do."
