GPS doesn't work on this map been shown. The map showing only works over the 3G connected to the internet. I have a 3GS and use the Tom Tom Europe and that works excellent.

Just as for clip's 1:41 'circle' ('tap here to go back to the map'),
there could be ANOTHER circle for Public Transit Data (if Bus Stop in frame)
Sync'ing BUS STOP data enables:
1) Smartphone point/orientation sensitive 'simple text' bus stop schedule:
Texting "51860" (bus stop number) to "33333" gets reply:
51860 [135] 03:49p 03:59p 04:09p [145] 03:57p 04:12p [144] 04:10p [...]
2) Time+Data+Scheduler --> alarm prompt
iPhone 3G competes v. Mom's "Clark! Your Train will pass soon!"

Very helpful and timely.
This suggests iPhone3GS using GPS Maps isn't behind Android for many of the Google Maps features.
It seems to have such gyroscopic function as to equal Android accelerometer for Maps.
For those looking for Google Maps Public Transit Trip Planning, and fuctions of it yet to be, this video points the way for iPhone as well.
In cities where Bus Stop Lat./Long. + bus stop/route data is published, Google should be able to Prompt: Next bus home leaves 3 minutes.
