Mtn biking in Sullivan Canyon, Famrer's Road, Santa Monica Mountains, Topanga State Park. this video is simply made with FLIP video camera taped to my handlebars. A lot of stabilization needs to be done, possible construction of an appropriate mount as well. At any rate, Sullivan Canyon is always a challenge, whether I am in shape or not there is something to tackle every fitness level and courage level. I usually drop into an unexpected rut along the trail or get decapped by a branch i swear I could make it under. Most recently, while travelling around 25 mph through an area toward the end of the road and swore I could duck under this overhanging tree...not branch...tree...my head went through, my shoulders went through, and most of my pack went through until the water jug I brought caught onto the tree. Normally, I carry a hydration pack, but today I was lazy and brought a gallon jug with a tube connected. Every time I bike in these hills, another opportunity emerges.
Isn't it cheating to just bike DOWN the mountain and not UP?

Yes, Erin, I would consider it cheating if I only rode down the mountain...Fortunately, I love the pain after the downhill part. So, I actually enjoy the irde up all the time.
