Brown Cup 2011 University of Victoria Rowing Team versus University of British Columbia Rowing Team.

I took this video with Ben Rutledge yesterday after Elk Lake Spring Regatta. It is meant to give you a flavour of what the Brown Cup rowing regatta is about and what it means to the coaches and athletes. The finished product is going the include more interviews as well as video of this years race.

I took the video using a Canon 5d mark 2, key, fill and back lights and a wireless microphone. I shot at 24 frames a second at 2.8. Next time I will shoot with 5.6 as it will allow for more leeway if the subject moves forward or backward after the initial focus at the start of the interview. The screen at the back of the camera is too small to tell if the subject moves out of focus.
