  • A stock rx7 is 1.3 liter producing 268hp, that means about 200hp per liter. If you put that against a mustang cobra that is a 4.7l supercharged engine, it should be putting out 940hp from the factory

Rotaries don't break down, seals get worn out just like piston rings, you can still drive them home safely. It's just facts rotary has less moving parts and parts in general making it more reliable

  • @enine2007 If you drive like a granny then carbon build-up will destroy these engines. They are meant to be driven and maintained.

  • @enine2007 yes, so aslong as the owner isnt somebody like you who thinks they are 4 bangers.... they are actually extremely reliable, they got a bad rep from being in their prime where most people had no idea how to maintain this newish engine. But once people got the hang of it, they last aslong as a reliable piston. And did you not read... THEY ARE in production by ALL those companies. the places that are not in production and being tested still to improve fuel economy.

  • @ARezFix well ok why arent they on the market? maybe they are efficient enough to produce power but do they last as long?

  • oh yeah the rotary engine was banned in 91 from the Lemans endurance race. (the testing ground for all built and super car engines.) after it won 1st place, and the other several lower models still placed in the top 5. the engine was deemed unfair due to its power vs size ratio.

  • @enine2007 (continued.) with a private rotary engine builder in Germany. (super rotary) to build a special production of rotary engine super cars... the biggest excuse was fuel economy. GM has placed the rotary in corvettes and was about to release a line of rotary vettes. but fuel cost killed the project. Mercedes excuse was the lack of machenics in 3rd world nations that knew how to work on the rotary. so on so on so on.

  • @enine2007 yet again more evidence... actually... the rotary is used in the fastest bikes in production now. the 13b is also used in various amounts of small airplanes. the 13b has also been placed in a number of racing boats... and various other vehicles. in parts of asia. the 13b powers a number of city buses. GM has a rotary. and so does Mercedes. btw mazda is partially owned by Ford. Ford has been pushing the continue production of the rotary. Ferrari and Lambo has signed a contract with

  • @ARezFix oh yea if they werent shit. why dont manufactures make the switch to rotary engine? not everyone wants a shit sounds engines with no power form the factory. do you even know what stock means? an rx-7 stock is running 15s a viper is running 12 or 13s. please come to summit with your pos ugly rx-7 86, the rx-7 in this vid is the best looking model by the way. video games? how old are you? i doubt your rotary engine can beat my old ass 5.0 with a stroker kit.

  • @enine2007 rotarys are only called shit engines simply by those who don't know anything about cars. its alien technology to them. such a simple design and so easy to work on. (only 4 moving parts dude) yet its to complicated for those who wish they could actually build a car. And yes. RX7s beat vipers stock all the time. as u seen in that last video. just youtube it btw. But enough arguing. I mean. you proved you don't know anything about cars... besides vid games... so ill leave it at that.

  • @ARezFix dont get me wrong rx-7 are nice cars but no way in hell they cant beat a viper stock. just like every other car it can be modded and be as fast or faster. im not aware of specs within the rotary because from what ive been told its a shit engine because its not yet perfected. well no stock engine is perfect anyways. wtf? are you stupid? they are designed to push heavy cars? the engine is not so heavy for the power it can produce. dont worry i can promise you my car is faster than urs.lol
