  • Yes it is well known now that Nina suffered from bi-polar disorder. From what I can work out her live work was rarely the case of Nina playing her greatest hits. There could be a lot of improvisation, and this track highlights how powerful her performances could be. When she peaked, Nina was awesome. And her backing band really excell.

  • haha juliasgray rules

  • I don't understand why you waste your time posting comments like this! It makes no sense. Nobody is going to change their mind on Nina because they love her music.

  • lmaoooooooooooooo hahahaaaaaa i think hes funny why give him thumbs down lol

  • She is a benevolent force that will continue to live throughout the ages.

  • she was very private about it but yes she did have the bipolar disorder. this was revealed by her 2 biogrophers who were also close friends after she died.

  • I think she had bipolar disease. She yelled at the musicians and the audience and sang 2 songs and then got up and left! This was at the Village Gate in the 70's. Folk were lined up around the block to see her...

  • ur a big meanie!!! waah waah waahhh

  • I love this Dr. Nina Simone song. I just found out last night that Nina was mean when she was alive.
