It can be observed that different people(or sects) identify themselves their with respective school/philosophy and struggle to fight for their identity and try to prove that their identity is TRUE. Perhaps, seed of the identity has entered in to their mind during their childhood depending on the belief system under which their childhood has been spent. In fact, there are many instances when I underwent the same situation as I explained above.

A great Sthotram indeed!!..while listening, it surely makes one to forget about everything else but the glory of LORD.
It is very surprising for me to see that in many forums, the debate on Advaita/V-Dvaita/Dvaita keeps on going.
Not sure where it will end?
When will it end ?
Perhaps endless ?
May be it is the WILL of the LORD? To play with minds of the people by propagating different schools of philosophy/thought which appear to be contradictory to one another?

@amn3h23h2 If you are inquiring about Dvaita (Tattvavada) philosophy as articulated by Jagadguru Shree Madhvacharya (1238 - 1317 A.D)there are many resources on the web you can reference. Best of luck.

how popular is/was the dvaitadvaita philosophy? all i hear here in the west is about advaita vedanta, but dvaitadvaita seems to make more sense to me.

@iseeking You seem to have very little understanding of the Advaitha philosophy. I respectfully request you to understand it's basic premise before you judge that it has anything to do with for/against Vishnu.
Next, every literary piece that is "Shankaracharya virachita" should not be attributed to Adi Shankaracharya. It could have been any of the Shankarcharyas who followed in succession. They are also called Shankaracharyas.

@anupamta: I always found this rather strange. Why would Adi Shankara compose hymns in praise of Vishnu, himself clearly being the one to articulate advaita?

Shri Hari Sharnam, please bless us
Some of the Greatest Vishnu Stotrams-Bhaja Govindam, Narayana Stotram, Govindashtakam, have been composed by Adi Shankara_ considered to be the founder of Advaita_ and hence not really appreciated by most Vaishnavas- Lord's ways are most Mysterious.
Hail Govinda! Hail Shankara!
