Russian numbers station / oddity station XPA, also called MFSK-20, on 10736 kHz in USB. This was on October 08, 2011, at 1320 UTC. This is also called a "polytone" station.

This station is listed as both a "numbers station" and an "oddity station". I would tend to call it an oddity myself, as far as I know it has never sent any audio or morse numbers. But it does send digital numbers, and is associated with several "regular" numbers stations.

  • Great find and very good recording.

  • @cloudeleven There's software

  • Is this used by spies? Do they have some kind of receiving device that can decode all of these tones?
