Following the closure of refugee camps in Southeast Asia, a group of Vietnamese refugeees stranded inthe Philippines for over 16 years unable to find home.

We open our door to Vietnamese People during Vietnamese Civil War. The only country asia who helped these refugees. We provide them with home and a land to till, we conviced USA to bring these poor stateless people to america to have a good life.... And then you are saying that Filipinos are bad? We are poor also but we did our part to help these Stateless People. Does your country helped them?

As Far as I know Filipinos and Vietnamese dont hate each other.

But one thing is for sure they hate Chinese. I have notice that in thier comments..

But we should spread love and Peace. ^___^

here's a real pice of adive to the vietnamese ppl in the phiippines. course your voices/requests from vietnam society and get your papers as filipino citizens. the philippines is a very hospitable country (reason why you were able to stay for more than 10 years without papers). i know it's not easy but it's better than waiting for another 16 years. i'm not vietnamese but i know that you guys can improve your current situation. youve been waiting for the u.s. for too long.

@almosara1230 Philippines treat the refugees considerably better than another country around ASEAN toward the refugess. I will never forget the time in live in PFAC and in Manila. amd i would say that Filipinos are very beautiful and kind people, and treated us very well.

@FAXBEAT I am Filipino and I go to a Vietnamese Baptist Church. I have met several church members there who onse lived in the Philippines even some of their kids were born there. I am glad that they made it here in the US after all the hardship the endured.

We as Vietnamese refugees should appreciate those countries in Southeast Asia who housed us and protected us in time of need regardless. I stayed in Malaysia, Phillippines before I left to the USA. Without those 2 countries and their helps, I would not be who I am now. For those Vietnamese refugees who are still in the Phillippines, lets pray that the third country somewhere will accept them soon. I hope the great country of the Phillippines will accept them. I met one of them in Boston. he said he loves the Philiipines. We are the only country in Asia who helped the Beloved Vietnamese people while China invaded their country in 1979 but was defeated by battle harden Vietnamese Farmers.

Farmers against Chinese soldiers but the farmers won the war. Pol Pot and China were friends. Evil and Evil together

I agree with you, the vietnamese people lives peacefully in the province of Palawan and they so thankful with the Filipino people who cares for them not only physically, they assimilate with our culture and enjoying their freedom. They deserved to be treated as our citizens as well.
