2009_05_22 UHS Choir Tour - Select Men's - "Weep No More"

This is a performance by the 2008-2009 Union High School Select Mens Ensemble at the Heritage Festival Competition on May 22, 2009 in Palo Alto, CA. All UHS choirs performing at this competition received "gold" awards, which is the highest level award issued at the Heritage Festival.

Fantatic, well done. I had been obsessed with the version on YouTube of the girls at JSerra High and I cannot believe how different yet still lovely it is with men singing. It has a whole different feeling. I imagine a soldier, comforting someone from another world. Gorgeous voices, men.

I hate when women sing this. It pains me to say that because I'm a girl and I love singing along to this, but EVERY SINGLE RECORDING i've ever found of women has driven me crazy.

Amazing. I sang this in my men's choir that same year at the Heritage Festival in San Antonio, TX. This is one of my all-time favorite songs, and I had no idea there was a women's version until I heard it last year.

I know that this is extremely late to say this, but at "shed no tear," the second tenors overpowered the firsts a bit too much, and the tenors were a little heavy. But hey, this was 4 years ago, so it's all good. ;)

You know it took me a while to get over hearing male voices sing this song. But after a while, I realized it really does work. You guys have superb sensitivity, you sang the hell out of this song!
