Harry Chapin was a musician and humanitarian who tragically died before the age of 40. He was survived by his wife and children. He was posthumously awarded the Congressional Gold Medal for his humanitarian efforts all over the world.

Agreed. There is such a trend for the empty cookie cutter "Club tune" that it has taken away part of the true soul of musical expression. I'm nearly thirty and I've been listening to his stuff for a decade now. It takes true genius to move someone so much with words and melody, and Harry had that and some to spare. Every time I hear this song i get "this close" to bawling as I have a little girl myself.

One of the most frustrating things for me is when i play this mans amazing music and people say "take it off its boring" i'm 18 and i don't understand why society"s taste in music has degenerated so much from back when this is what was called real music
