D&AD Student Awards 2010 - Onedotzero brief

The city is ever changing, as we journey out of the center of London we see the surrounding environment mould and adapt in to something different. From a narrow perspective and a contrasted view, my film allows you to focus on what is and isnt there, noticing the hard edges of the city skyscrapers to the softer free flowing shapes of the countryside.

My film captures the emotions of leaving something behind and going to somewhere new, from the feeling of excitement and creativity to feeling lonely, lost and reflective. These emotions are identified throughout the film by the shots we see and the music we hear, from fast upbeat tones to slower more lengthy ones.

Using a panaramic aspect ratio and a very contrasted style I have eliminated what isnt important and created a more abstract piece that allows us to see the ever-changing shapes and movement of our environment, being able to literally see the changes as the city disappears behind us.
