Barron is wrong on Al Jolson. Since 1911 to his death Jolson fought against discrimination against blacks. He had many black friends and also had black performers when he was on stage.

All people should have the right to name their own streets. Charles Barron raises a very important question. Did Thomas Jefferson and George Washington own and sell slaves? Did they get streets named after them? Then how can Christine Quinn say Sonny Carson is worse then them. And, I met Sonny Carson and he was always nice to me (and I'm white). Stop being racist and listen a little bit.
