@Aaarrriii1998 This is actually plasma. The initial short arc heats up the air so much that it turns into conductive plasma, allowing me to stretch out the arc. The electricity flows through the plasma keeping it heated until I stretch it too far and the connection is lost.

@ExplosiveAnyThing Caps were used, they aren't too visible in the video always as they are on top of the transformer, but they did boost the output. I was not fully at resonance as I was on a 60A breaker and did not want to trip it.

I thought it was 10k volts to jump a 1cm gap, so how does 12k jump what seems to be 5~7cm?

@7FCx The arc is actually being struck much closer than 5-7cm. Angles and distance exaggerate the appearance of the gap. It does strike at around 1cm, the current allows it to be drawn out substantially.
