Greg Biffle ended a 64-race winless streak in the Sprint Cup Series by taking Sunday's Pennsylvania 500 at Pocono Raceway. Biffle was not a factor for most of the race, but a late-race pit strategy helped the Roush Fenway Racing driver in the late stages. During the final round of stops, Biffle and crew chief Greg Erwin gambled by taking only two tires, while Sam Hornish Jr. claimed the lead when he opted to stay out on the track. Just after the final restart with 21 laps remaining, Biffle passed Hornish and then led from there. He held off Tony Stewart, the pole sitter, by 3.6 seconds for his 15th career Sprint Cup victory, but his first since September 2008 at Dover. Carl Edwards finished third, while Kevin Harvick, the current points leader, and Denny Hamlin, who had won the last two races at Pocono, rounded out the top-five.
