I'm using a guitar world tab for cartain parts and the rest I got it from a tutorial video here on youtube with the mastodon guys themselves explaining the whole song part by part.

you sounded out of time in the beggining but KUDOS! i think this was great. where do you get all these backing tracks for these songs?

You are correct, the intro is very tricky and I still can't get the proper feel for it, it will come to me in time.

All the backing tracks came from guitar pro tabs, I usually get them to learn certain parts and if they have the drum sequencies I fix them up a little if needed and use those.

I still can't find the drums for certain covers I want to make though, "Hearts alive" comes to mind
