so if i did get an electric kit, a good thing would be just like, save for about a year and get an expensive one
?
i was looking at a td-12

TD12 is an awesome kit. But also look to see how many direct outputs it has. If I am not mistaken it only has two, plus stereo left and right. If you want to play a kit professionally, I suggest you have at least 6 outputs. Yamaha DTExtreme Speicial now has 6 and The Roland TD20 that I play has 8 outputs.

hey.
im a 16 year old kid
i play drums and me and some friends are trying to make a band.
we have the talent, im good at drums
especially for only playing for like, 3 months
the only problem is my parents dont like the noise
and i dont really know of any electric sets
or anything like that that i could get for pretty cheep
any suggestions of what to get and a way of paying for it?

There really are no "pro" electronic kits out there for playing gigs that are under $3,500. I would not suggest you take off playing Electronics so early in your technique development anyway. I do understand the benifit of having a kit that is quiet...but I think you would not be happy with the electronic drum quality in your budget range. At 16 you could always get a job and put all your money into getting that dream kit though. BzB :-)
