From Christianity to Atheism: My Story

This is a video that I have been wanting to make for some time now. This tells my story of escaping Christianity and my journey to atheism. The purpose of this video was two-fold: an encouragement for anyone going through a similar experience and as a rebuttal to those who criticize my anti-theism.

Although I'm a Christian, you make some really cool points!

A lot of atheists are easy to criticise Christianity, without really knowing much about it/Looking into it,

but fair play to you if you've experienced both sides of the story! :)

@pistolpackintim Sorry :L I Misunderstood what you said, I think there are people on both sides who don't respect the others views,

There are christians who are completley over the top, and force there views on others.

and there are atheiests that are filled with hate towards christianity, (Not saying you are one of them, far from it in fact)

The important thing is that we respect each others views

@QwertyKillification It is hate in that it is much like the popular Christian phrase "hate the sin, love the sinner"; I take the view of hate the faith, love the faithful.

@GothChristianPatriot That isn't why I don't believe...if you had watched the whole video you would know that. Its not what people do in the name of their particular god, its the idea of faith itself and the basic teachings of Christian belief that are evil. The very concept of original sin is sadistic and when it is taught to children it is child abuse, IMO.

welcome to the fold. i went to a catholic school and just never bought into religion but to grow up in a christian family and turn your back on those ideals for a life of free thought, i salute you. especially in america. its so much easier here in england.
