freeware = proprietary software made free as meaning gratis.
free software= software that respects freedom, with source code available, as well as the ability to share, copy, and redistribute.
opensource= a way of promoting free software without mentioning political reasons and issues of freedom!

sounds like your hardware fails bro. runs fine for me, ran better on my macbook than OS X did. Now on my desktop runs way way way better than windows 7 rc1 does. as for style, i find both OS X and faildows to be ugly as shit, my linux looks like my linux.

@TheJoeyzxc I'm using free software now to write this comment, and i'm sure it's not buggy and it does NOT look like a mac (i don't like the mac look), and 5 minutes before i was playing a 3D game totally smoothly. I'm using KDE 4.3 and it's not buggy, i'm using it without any problem...

Linux is ugly. So what if you use a buggy dock or make Linux look like an operating system that it isnt (Mac OSX) or use a buggy 3D effects thing, it's ugly. So what if you can customize it? The first thing I want to see when I get a new computer with Linux is something pretty. What do I get? A grey ugly top and bottom dock. So what if there's KDE? Why use something that can't even design a website properly without big huge fonts. KDE is buggy and annoying and not unique. Linux fails.

Open Source and Free Software mean the same thing. The term 'Open Source' was created to avoid that "free" ambiguity. The only difference is that Open Source (theoretically) isn't restricted to softwares.
