I was at this show during my 2nd year at Cal. I've seen around 100 Dead concerts and I can tell you with out a doubt that this gig and the one the day before (or after) were the best performances I've experienced. Not sure if this Gloria demonstrates it but clearly the music was playing the band and they had no idea were things were going. They were looking at each other like "holy shit, it's happening in a big way" and started doing songs like Gloria just for the hell of it. Blown away.

@JeffTele I always though that Gloria Steinem was such a fox. It really hurt to see how much she hated men.

Interesting, this song has that riff that was most present on the first NRPS album song, "Garden of Eden." I always liked that sound.
