  • awesome

but the first proyect comes from wiili??

  • not sure what you mean?

this video has no wii... just wiimotes

and all software is running on the laptop which is running ubuntu linux 7.10 connections through bluetooth

  • what Hz is the IR sensor @ on the wiimote?

  • 100Hz supposedly

but the data returned is integer and its very sketchy and jittery, needs processing which effectively reduces the frame rate, down to 50-30%.

  • I'm having a really hard time doing this. I'm trying to use Processing, two wiimotes, and an IR light. I don't know what to code. Can someone help me out with this?

  • Can u tell us how did u converted 2d information to 3d

i am interested in the theory how to extract 3d information from 2d image

  • hey I was wondering how you averaged the data of the wiimote IR trackers. Did you use set a vector equation equaling the other to solve for the position relative to time?... I'm working in Microsoft Visual Studios on this problem now and Im looking to smooth out the data.

  • wouldnt the leds have to be at least an inch or two apart for the wii remote to differentiate between them given the lowe resolution of the camera

  • Nope, you only need one - 3 LEDs are then read as a vector (like TrackIR4) and you've got all 6 degrees, its childsplay.

  • becase you cant plot a 3d space with one you need two axis of information to plot a point sorry if that made no sense its early and ive been up all night as a result my ability to write has all but gone

  • I know a ballistics team who could use something like this. They shoot large rounds into Large steel plates and have to section the plates so that they can measure the depth of penetration. They have recruited a team at my college to work on a method of solving the problem with measurement. I was wondering if you could send me any info on getting to the stage you're at with your 3-d plotter.

  • So why wouldnt you just use ONE wiimote with 3 leds for 6-dof tracking??

  • genius

  • How do you calibrate for the location and orientation of your wiimotes? And are you just averaging the data through time?
