I was at 2.11 and don't remember them playing Mountain Jam. (But you know what they say about your memory; it's the second thing to go.) I just have never seen any two guitarists play so well together as Duane and Dicky did. Have you seen the current band with Derek Trucks? Now that's a smokin' thang!

  • I was at this show! 10th row. Allmans played, then Love, then the Dead came on. After 3-4 Dead tunes, half the Allmans came back on stage, along with Peter Green and two other members of the original Fleetwood Mac band for 3 1/2 hrs non-stop. Pigpen was terrific, and Jerry, Green, and Duane stood together on the left side of the stage--what an amazing show. I HAVE read Amalie Rothchild's book--it's spooky how small that theatre was. When you were there and the music was hot, it was HUGE!

  • No, I haven't read it, but would love too. It was a very crazy time in my life and in the world in general. I'm lucky I survived! To be honest, I was extremely pretty and extremely naive, but not for long!!!

  • @Jerseygirl660: Tell us some of your memories. Have you read Amalie Rothchild's "Live At Fillmore East"? It's filled with lots of her wonderful intimate photos of the old place.

  • great cover

  • @HendrixClaptonSRV What I remember, LOL!
