Huge everglades bowfin

This was the highlight of my morning. I almost lost this bad boy to the lilly pads. I was patient and managed to get him unwrapped. This was a whopper! I know there are bigger out there but this is my biggest bowfin! MIA Fishing

Love these Ancient fish. Nice one, I lost one about that big on my trip awhile back. they always break my line.

@Dionysus2235 Use braided line in 10 or 12 lb test and you will be fine. The funny thing is used to catch them using a texas rigged zoom trick worm.

i remember when i went to minnisota on my grandmas lake, i had perch in a cage, the next morning i come out to the dock n see 2 bowfin next to the cage, with a fish heads torn off! and the cage barely had any big holes!
