i did 1212 all around row five and mine lays flat and is fine...but im wondering if i should keep going and see if it will really be okay or backtrack and do 112112....

I don't understand! I am a beginner at this and when I saw ''Starting Row 5" she said 1,2,1,2. She even demonstrated in the video. And now she is saying to do 1,1,2,1,1,2? I am confused!

Actually, it depends on your yarn and how tight you pull the yarn. I did 1212 and it was fine.
