Super Friends 73 Heatwave stars Flash

It's getting warmer and warmer and everyone everywhere is suffering from extreme heat. Dairy Land, once a luscious green pasture appears like a desert. Wonder Woman goes to the rescue and uses the Transparent Plane, (revealed in this episode as a gift from the Olympian goddess Hera) to help the people get moisture. Wonder Woman uses her telepathic powers to command her plane to do her bidding. Superman flies on to help a village in the North from Icebergs and The Flash restores a collapsed building in India. When it is revealed the Earth is moving closer to the sun, the Super Friends devise a plan with The Flash, the fastest man alive, to circle the globe at fantastic speed to reset the Earth to it's natural orbit. Featuring segments from the episode "Too Hot Too Handle".

I wonder if the local eskimos who lived in that village which Superman rescued

from that avalanche, ever wait patiently for word that their child's application

to an accredited college was accepted or not? Not too many eskimos get

accepted to Harvard or Princeton, it seems... Marvin. Wonder Dog. But Wendy

seemed to have very few lines. 'Everybody in their proper place', is that what

the Superfriends taught? The farmers - the eskimos of the mid-west?

I think WWs telepathy was to compensate for her underemphasized strength. I read somewhere that the writers didn't want her to compete with superman.

Farms dont look like that anymore... not many cows in dairy land. Now there is a cow every 6 inches in feed pens.

The ironic thing about this that this episode was meant to illustrate the problem of global COOLING! I read about in my textbooks & in the Scholastic newspaper they had us read. The world was getting cooler b/c of pollution & we needed to change how we did everything to prevent a new ice age. Crazy. I can't believe anyone had the gall to try the exact opposite trick.
