@Bobbit323 Honing puts tinny little scratchs on the lining's wall, You do it to help the oil stick. although i would do it like in this video, i would advise putting the block through a wash after its done.

@breakbeatzboy I thought it was for when you get new piston rings so they seat properly? XD

If youre gonna hone it do it the proper way

did you remember to have the block and headers resurfaced? being supercharged and having an even higher compression ratio than a stock M3 its really important to resurfaced the block especially after such an event.

@breakbeatzboy did the honing itsself wreck the engine?

What is the grit size of the flex-hone? Is it a silicon carbide or aluminum oxide abrasive type? Thanks

Hey so what did you realy change on this block?rings, sleeves,Bearings that is.???and you did a De glazing &honing?did you go standard rings? or higher performance?
It was petrol.. but the guys who did that didn't know their arses from their elbows and ended up totally killing my engine :(

The car us supercharged and I had a detonation event after some dodgy fuel which cost me 3 of 6 pistons..
So I replaced all 6 pistons just to be sure.... new set of OE rings and ceramic coated the new pistons to handle the heat better.
Otherwise the block is still stock

It removes glaze from the cylinder walls and gives them a cross-hatched pattern which assists the oil in adhering to the walls, thus lubricating the cylinders
