Chrono Trigger Playthrough, Part 2

Some minigames and meeting Lucca.

We start by playing some minigames at Norstein Bekkler's lab. The first one is by far the hardest, as you have to pay attention to at least two of the guys if you don't want to guess. I managed to do it this time.

The next games are a bit more expensive, so I have to fight Gato a couple of times to be able to afford them. I'm not gonna torture you by showing every battle, so I removed all but one. This is the reason why I learned Aura, so that can heal between battles without buying Tonics.

Next we have the mimic game, which isn't very hard. It's pretty much the same as the sword fight in the beginning of FFIX, just shorter and easier.

The last and most expensive game is also the easiest. It can be hard the first time, but give it a few practice rounds and you'll see it's actually very easy. I screwed up a little the first time, but the second was pretty much flawless.

So, I got myself a new cat and some cat food. I've never done the cat side quest before, so I'm gonna do it this time and it's best to start as early as possible.

After that, it's time to check out Lucca's new invention, which leads to the first trip back in time. I wanted to fit all of this into one video, so I didn't have time to try it with Crono first.

Wow. Nobody commented on this. On the screen before Gato there is a Pink bag on the table. You can use that to full-heal for free. You didn't need to buy Tonics or learn Aura early.

Is it just me or does Lucca sound jealous, somewhat, when she first sees Marle?

Also, what's the cat sidequest? I've never heard of that one before I think.

The cat side quest is pretty much just making sure there's always cat food in Crono's room. Then the cats will reproduce and you can get a total of 11 cats, the last one being blue or something.

Never mind, I realized what it looks like. The Time Portal between the future and present from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Time and Darkness. How odd that the Mystery Dungeon games would have the Chrono Trigger-style Time Portal in them...
