The video was taken on January 4, 2012. This tree has bees living in it for years. It is in a back yard, and swarms have been seen every summer landing in the trees of the garden. The nest is about 15 feet up in the tree. On the other side of the tree, there is another nest, yet smaller with fewer bees. The first time that I did see two feral nests so close to each other.

  • Do you have any particular way of locating feral hives? I am familiar with the standard "bee lining" techniques, but wonder if you have any other insights. thank you.
