@fierygal58 Funny but Blur has a song also called "Sing" and apparently Amanda unconsciously ripped it off for the intro to "Astronaut". If you listen to them one after the other it is unmistakeable.

I discovered her first through her now-husband; I am just now discovering The Dresden Dolls.....they never should have broken up. They are doing the "reunion tour" thing right now, but if they were smart they would record again.....she is brilliant on her own but together they are staggering.

You know, if I'd read the lyrics of this song alone, I probably would have laughed (in another setting they could easily pass as some sunshine-and-rainbows kid song), but she pours so much of herself into the music that it's impossible not to be moved. You can hardly call the lyrics simplistic when she makes them so (appropriately) complicated.

The censoring at the end TOTALLY ruins it for me and pulls me out of the song. SIGH.

Ugh...I was already to feel the goosebumps and every such thing, but censoring the "Mother Fuckers" lines in the end ruined the feeling for me...
