Suzuki Grand Vitara burning oil on start up. This is the car I bought from Koenig Chevrolet in Port Angeles, WA on 2-23-09. They say there was nothing wrong with it when they sold it. The car has a 90 day warranty but they say nothing is broken so they won't fix it.

  • That looks like white smoke to me... oil burns a bluish haze. I'm thinking either head gasket or it's just real cold outside?..

  • Know what weird, anytime I see a car burning oil, the person is driving like a maniac at 2x speed limit...EVERYTIME I see a car burning oil like this...it's F'ed up.

  • gasket or valve guide

  • the valve guide seals are dry rotted and need replacing. when you shut the motor off and leave it overnight the oil in the top of the motor seeps down past the valve guide seals and drips all over the valves then when you start it in the morning the oil that dripped gets sucked into the cylinders and burns off. this is a problem that will not go away and gradualy gets worse. the dealership are liars, call your local DMV and ask to speak to an inspector.

  • Is it 2.0 16v?

  • you have to go to the dealer and preorder the delisadores thosse are the things on which the chain rolls and if theyre worn out they will make the chain rattle and make sound plus you should check the fuel injectors

  • You gotto clean your fuel injector

  • ass holes

  • If its a diesel then its quite normal for it to rattle, smoke and sound like a bag of spanners (as this does), however if its the V6, which I think it might be, then the engine is stuffed, its rattling like mad and oil is building up in the cylinders when its stopped which burns off when you start it. This is probably valve guides in that case.

Either way send it back with a copy of this video, its had it.
