@UnionPacific4012 And which one would those be?
-

Good video. But I really HATE this song.
-
@dasbooterror actually the challengers were built first

OMG! Great!

Double check your facts there son. there are *NO* operational Big boy engines. out of the 25 built, only 8 have been preserved, and none of them are operational. all are static display pieces.
UP however does own UP #844 (a 4-8-4 Northern type) and UP #3985 ( a 4-6-6-4 Challenger type) in operational service.
HOWEVER. neither of these are Big Boys, and the Challenger types were built after Big Boy to tackle smaller grades that didnt need that much power.

@UnionPacific4012 Dude there are no Big Boys that run only 3985 and 844 that are UP then there is SP4449 and two ATSF northerns and thats all the giants left its a horrible thing but there are no big boys left if only there was the money and the resources to bring that coal burner back online but LAW requires locomotives that big run on oil and the only Big Boy that ran on oil didnt work out and it was 4005 and they only did that because it derailed and just about destroyed Thus RIP UP Big Boys
Hi... I want to know is the Big Boy get back on the track & run yet???
