@baglady999 I am sorry for the loss of your friends. The point I want to make is that the registry does nothing to stop this from happening. It does not create more responsible gun owners nor does it stop criminals (i assume you are referring to the Hells Angels vs. Mongols shootout in Montreal, none of whom used legally obtained firearms. The registry did not stop Taber, Mayerthorpe, Spiritwood, Asian gangs in Calgary. There are better ways to stop crime than "registering" legal firearms.

@ufloetz Wish people had this much passion during the G20 when hundreds of Canadians lost all rights to free speech. We all sit here and complain what our countries are doing to us but how many of us stand up, go outside, speak to others, contact their mayors or MP's?. Right now I am pushing for a referendum to remove fluoride from our waters, I refuse to sit here and complain Action is needed in all areas, I can't do it all alone. Taking fluoride out of the water will make more people care.

@ufloetz True about the knives, I would rather be killed with a gun then a slow death with a knife, I know what you are saying about the RCMP, I hate any cop, I hate Toronto cops more than the RCMP for what they did the Canadian citizens at the G-20. The fact of the matter, even if you have a gun are you going to shoot a cop if he is in the middle of arresting you unfairly? I doubt it because you would be in deeper shit. Our country sucks!

@baglady999 I agree with you, with both parents working and all that. Banning citzens with guns makes gun crimes go up thats a fact. And I do not like the fact the RCMP are treating citizens as criminals, and using excuses to confiscate homes and properties/possesions. I also dont like the fact they are doing it because we are easy targets that dont shoot back, and doing nothing to the real criminals.

I dont think everyone should be carrying guns. What about knives, they kill more people.
