  • Actually I did not have photo reference, I modeled this chair based on the one I was sitting at the time, as an exercise modeling session it was a good practice, but I would strongly recommend (and I do that) using reference and/or sketching the design before modeling.

  • When doing this, did you have a picture next to you the whole time and tried to base it around it? Or did you draw it out before hand?

  • too fast for me :(

  • good.....

  • @Korado3D haha, alright then, as long as u feel confortable with what u got ur good...

  • @elcanful =) "Mess-With-The-Best-Die-Like-The-Rest" Right?=) Nah I know about that, I know about that a lot=) but as I said Blender & Wings all I need at the moment, so far rigging, for me, in Blender makes more sense than in any other software I've tried (many riggers would probably argue that but whatever). I wanted to buy Messiah:Studio5 (animation/rendering soft) when it was $10 (for a limited time) but I don't want to abandon Blender so I stopped myself.

  • @Korado3D but dude there are ways to get max without paying for it, and any other software, its illegal but hey, it saves money....for example i have autodesk 3ds max, the architrctural desing version and the one to make games and animated movies...its easy my friend, just search....

  • @elcanful 3DS Max is great, I can do basic modeling in Max, Silo some other commercial apps but I can't afford Max, Maya or any other Autodesk product=) I really like Wings3D though and I am starting to get the intelligence & power of Blender, and it is free & opensource software so I am a happy cat.
