I know, the name is really misleading. I wouldn't consider this as a face primer with silicones, etc to smooth out pores and fine lines. I think Bobbi probably meant it as a good moisturizer/cream that provides a good base skin care to prep the face for make up. Your face needs to be well hydrated for the make up to go on smoothly, and this proivdes just enough hydration for most skin type with light feel to it. Think of this as a cream/moisturizer that provides good base for make up.

I use it as primer and it makes my foundation glides on really smooth and nice, specially that I have dry skin. So it really depends on your preferences.
