hey man good stuff..right, ill start with the software...have you thought about going bigger because garage band is compact and only so much you can do with it...2, there is too much distance between the toms and the over heads..either lower the over heads closer to the drums or by individual mics for the drums...with the money you are spending with the sound cards/interfaces i think it would be more advisable just to get a usb mixing desk...good luck in the future..inbox me if you need anything

what kind of interface did you use?

I bet that would sound 1,000x better with an xy technique minus the cheap snare mic, works for my pair of sm58>xenyx 1002>old desktop pc

my mic setup is 20 dollars, and it sounds way better than this.
It definitely does NOT sound pro. But the toms don't sound like they were close miked either. I heard lots of room sound.
