As a budding microbiologist, I'm glad to see this myth busted. The 1st experiment made me cringe that the controls were so...non-control-esque, and the action they took afterwards was too cool =D
@Tyuriwen Glad you liked it! I'm also often disappointed with Mythbuster's lack of robust controls and methods. They often leave room for confounding variables, but I guess it's television, and they are limited. As a psychologist, their psychological tests often have plenty of holes in them. But It's still fun! :)
but then again, I guess you have to hand it to them, they're very well-rounded scientists! From physics to biology, to chemistry, to psychology, mixed in with all their engineering expertise and special effects knowledge!
