thanks this was really helpful.
I was wondering if you could help me out. I have a problem with the rotation in the inside of my thighs. I have little to no control/rotation and its the only thing that's holding me back from pointe work. I was wondering if you knew of any leg rotation exercise that would be helpful for the issue.
And thank you for the really helpful videos I enjoy watching them :D

@BillzProductions If there is no pain, it is nothing to worry about. I could just be air in the joint or the bone is striking something within the joint. I had this problem myself, so I suggest two things. First, use a slightly smaller turnout and smaller movement for a while. It will strengthen and you will be able to use more mobility. Second, lengthen the leg out of the hip more. This will give more room for the joint to move freely. Hope this helps.

I doubt you will be able too answer this, but Im a male dancer, and when i do hip rotations if I put my hands I feel a slight pop, is there anything you can reccomend, maybe any other dancers?

yeh, i see what you mean, my dance teacher al ways see that, and on my break between inter-foundation and modern, i see some of the younger girls breathing, well, like 'inflating' their stomachs, if you get me, instead of expanding the rib cage. It's easy for me because I sing and play the flute so i never breath like that anyway, i always expand my rib cage ;)

I'm a little confused - so the "close your ribcage" that Lisa mentions at the beginning is actually incorrect? Hannah's ribs seem to be moving naturally as she "breathes with her diaphragm". I've never paid much attention to breathing and moving ribs but in positions where our legs are en l'air we are told specifically to "close [our ribcages]". So have we been doing it wrong?
thank you so much that was really helpful,GOD BLESS YOU=]]]]
