The newest member of the Moog Etherwave Theremin family is also the newest member of its controller family. The new Etherwave Plus extends the Theremins gestural playing technique to the world of analog synthesis and beyond by allowing the user to control gear with a wave of a hand, controlling synthesizers and effects while playing the Theremin. Its also a stand-alone CV (Control Voltage) controller.

The Etherwave Plus CV control signals are proportional to the pitch and volume of the Theremins audio signal and can be connected to the pitch and volume CV inputs of a Little Phatty or other analog synthesizer for a new way to interact with a synth. www.moogmusic.com

  • A perfect way to enhance this brilliant instrument and make it available to the wider audience. The basic sound of the theremin is only beautiful in the hands of an expert, but this "plus" thing sounds great even with any cheapest guitar processor. To play the electric guitar has always been my dream, but when I found out that it was possible to get the same sound without even touching the thing, I got really excited. :)

  • I am just now checking into "Theremin" and trying to learn enough about it to decide what to buy. Do you have "newbie" info on a "newbie" level? lol

What would be a "Dream Setup" for a "Die-Hard Theremin Lover and Excellent Player?" I don't want to buy stuff I will have to replace later, because I am a better player, or realize after I learn more that I am "limited" because of what I bought. How often do you improve or add-to the products? 3 mo after purchase- outdated! Hate that! lol Thanks

  • there is a video here on the youtube that does something similar...is really amazing

  • The Bloody Beetroots use a Theramin Plus hooked up to a Little Phatty to create some interesting sounds.

    check it out:

  • You know you can... Play the theremin, too. Like, as an instrument, and not some glorified effects interface.

But this is pretty damn cool.

  • It's good to be able to expand your selection of sounds at your command.

  • I see it - but I still somehow can't really believe it.

  • This thing is genius.I'd never had thought of that!
