did you run the cam in,its really not good for the cam, being the high spring pressure and low engine speed, make you do exactly what the cam manufacturer suggest, you have a nice investment, good luck with it.

Thanks?!?!?! Ive worked on LS engines, doing R&D work for 6 years. Im not your average garage mechanic.... 918s do not have much load.

Hey I was looking into Comp's LSR cams for my 5.3L. Anyway the one I was looking at was this: 54-455-11 215/223 .604/.610 112LSA
Its got headers, LS1 type intake mainfold, and some other random stuff done to it, would I just need Comp 918 springs, hardened push rods, and an injector upgrade to run this cam in it? The 5.3L is installed in a 69' C-10
Thanks

I love that cam. 918s will work, but the 926s are recommended according to the catalog. They make .080" & .105" wall pushrods, get .105" wall pushrods. Im also running FAST injectors. FAST make a truck intake, 102mm LSXRT. And they just put out the car version for cathedral port too, LSXR for LS1s.
