The NRAO VLBA antenna in Pie Town, New Mexico, switches every 30 seconds between a water maser in the Galactic star forming region G009.99-0.03 and the background quasar J1751-1950. The observation was conducted in the framework of the BeSSeL Survey, a VLBA Key Science project to map the 3d structure of the Milky Way.
