A movie inside a movie - René Vidal (Jean-Pierre Léaud) shows to Maggie Cheung a fragment from a kung-fu movie, and explains this is why he wants her to play "Irma Vep"...

The segment is from "Heroic Trio", a 1993 Hong Kong action film directed by Johnny To. "Irma Vep" is a french film directed by Olivier Assayas (1996).

  • anyone can find clips of maggie cheung speaking french, if any? I'm very curious, especially since she'll be acting as a french woman in an upcoming film.

  • U may find the clip in Executioners, a sequel to Heroic Trio, originally released in 1993 as well.

  • I heart Goth music.

  • Jean Pierre Léaud Maggie Cheung Assayas perfect combinaison

  • did anybody notice? there's a short moment where she is holding the LASERDISK edition..! must be hard to find in france...

  • The clip comes from Heroic Trio starring Maggie Cheung and Mechelle Yeoh in 1993, a classic Hong Kong kung-fu film with a surreal flavor.
