My version of Salt Creek broken down and explained as well as several varations of breaks and some Tony Rice licks covered here. Due to the 10 minute Youtube limit I had to cut it a little short.

  • LOL! It isn't easy doing lesson videos is it? Probably way harder for you to slow it down than us to do it quickly....thanks for the lesson tho'. I should have this perfected in about 2030...if I'm lucky. =)

  • @Gingerjake2 Ginger you are right! lmao! The hardest thing in the world for me to to play this slow, break it down and try to talk about it and continue on, I keep forgetting where I'm even at from being used to playing it so fast. LOL! Best of luck on this, I do hope you get it before 2030! lol

  • great picking and gorgeous sounding guitar! Is it a D28?

  • @MauroPavanelli This one is actually a Martin Sigma and is a rarer one from what I can find out, it's identical the the Martin HD-28 and has the herringbone as well. It was one of the first Sigma's obviously before Martin decided to downgrade them. Thanks so much for your comment.

  • Thanks man, I've spent a lot of time working on it to get the best sound I could out of it, still not finished with it. Now if I could just play it. lol

  • @pretourious I would do the same thing...forget where I was, because being so slow, you don't really hear the melody any longer. You did it well tho'...

As for me getting this one? 2030 is actually optimistic! Maybe I could whistle it instead. ;) But I will have fun trying...

  • I have the tabs if anyone needs them its a little different than his but it will help you get a feel for it

if you need send me a line I'll get them out to you

thanks for the post my friend great job
