While most of the skills that were in the Xbox Live demo are unlikely to be obtainable at that point without carrying over data from a previous playthrough, it seems unlikely that the skills she has here can't be learned at this point. I'd imagine this is well off into the game, to the point that Rita would be able to learn spells like Splash already.

In the Normal Game, she wouldn't have high level spells at that point in the game... so like many of us believe, I think they lowered her magic attack.
I also think it's to show off Yuri.

... I can see how the talking when they level up could get really old, really fast- but it's still kind of cool.
Gyaah, this game is so pretty~ Such nice fluid moves.

Maybe just me but I think they probably dropped her magic down abit. She probably was too Strong for the videos. That's what I think.
