  • Oh, one other thing - about the concrete. Don't think I'll do that again. Friends who are pros tell me the 45mil liner will stand up to a dog, and the ph is a buggar to maintain with concrete! I'd also make it deeper to help with the horrific summer heat here in Hotlanta area :D

  • that is one of the best home done ponds i have ever seen... amazing job!

  • Thank You All for the kind words! We have a small problem...... The fish are outgrowing their home. Now we have to decide where to put a 30,000gal pond and how to link it to this one without interfering with the seating area for the outdoor movie theatre (15 x 12 foot sceen)

UV filter is in place so the water is much clearer now - and you should see the light show at night! New video of this pond coming soon and will follow with a vid of the new pond when we get that started

  • I think it's great you cemented it not only to dog proof it but you don't have black water like every other pond. I love ponds except for the dark water. Yours is very nice.

  • Thank you for the kind words!

  • wow looks like my mom was there decorating lol

  • there are stories to tell!

  • May I come over from Australia and live with you in your garden....pleasssseeee

Great job and beautiful, thank you for sharing Lisa. HAPPY NE YEAR.

  • That is the coolest thing!!!

  • well done !

    geoff

  • Verry Nice , I want to build one soon .

  • A good bit! Filter mats in the skimmer box, a separate pump running a pressurized filter and UV light, plus the small pools make for settling chambers of sorts that get cleaned regularly with a pond vac

  • LOL! The beast is Jim Olson, who put the slide show together! He's the guy in front of the backhoe at about the two minute mark, and there's a picture of him on Lisa Carrell's MySpace page serenading the fish.

  • Any filtration on that pond?

  • the music by your friend is truly perfect for this video ! i am amazed at your insight and how beautiful it turned out for you . i am in the process of transforming an existing pond and have no clue where to begin.the lighting and little brook /waterfall are so great and i would love to do something like that as well .. i just love it !!

  • Who's the beast on guitar? It's really really good :)

  • Heak Yea Grl, you show em' get that girl a beer, and a doobie :) Well earned. Now thats girl power,BEAUTIFUL
