  • I was previously unfamiliar with this work. Of course no one is going to tell me that JSB ever wrote a "Piano Concerto"! OK - I realise now it is a Keyboard Concerto - just read the bit @ the top duh! To most ppl a keyboard is like a little pluggable in synth which costs a hundred bucks! BWV1052 makes this a late work (hey I've overtaken Bach with my K. numbers now!) Can I just make it clear that I am not remotely in the league of J S Bach. He is #2 of all time with LVB being #1 (of course!)

  • Of course it would sound much more "authentic" on a harpsichord. Please see cellistae's comment below.

Haha, I do get that a lot about the "keyboard" in the title. I think there were some earlier comments as such.

So, are you placing yourself firmly as #3? ahead of WAM?

  • This girl is like....WHOA! Talk about early virtuosi!

  • You had asked (in a comment on my channel) Valerie's age in this video.

Sorry, I usually add age in the title or description section, but I didn't for this video. I've added now. She's 10.

I tried to answer in a message to you, but you only accept messages from friends. I've requested.

An aside: She will perform this piece again at Copley Symphony Hall with San Diego Symphony on Jan.31, 2009.

  • oh how awesome! If only a harpsicord can be used as well to add that zest and crisp! (: It's still a fantastic piece of work no doubt!

  • Yes, a harpsicord would have been really cool.

  • I love the way she plays! It's like she's dancing!! I really do envy you,Valerie.... The way you play, how your fingers move(can you teach me how to play faster and louder?? <p),and your expression when you play the piece is.. something that cannot be put into words! I hope you keep on doing your best!

  • She is perfect but the orchestra is a real shit. She deserves much better.
