SMH. Did your step by step and still doesn't work. Do you have to make a beat with the tracks on midi first in the mpc?? type midi? do you need to change the midi on the main screen of the mpc to say 1a 2a 3a etc? i upgraded to pt 8 for this one reason and still this doesnt work, any thoughts?

Thanks alot for this video.. I been having a hard time making my instruments match eachother.. They all sound outta of tune.. I was actually making pro tools master and my fantom slave.. Now im gonna try your way.. Make fantom x master and pro tools slave.. Maybe they will sync the track better that way..

I HAVE A ROLAND JUNO DI AND AKAI PROFESSIONAL XR 20. IM USING PROTOOLS LE 8 WITH AVID M BOX MINI. MY M BOX DOES NOT HAVE MIDI INPUTS SO I HAVE MIDI TO USB STRAIGHT TO MY MAC. THE PROBLEM IS, HOW CAN I USE THE INSTRUMENTS INSIDE MY PIANO AND AKAI. AND WHAT TRACKS DO I USE TO RECORD THEM?

@EnveBeats are talkin bout on the mpc or pt8 if your talkin bout pro tools im not sure i havent messed around with any of the settings but i moved to the mv8000 since i could do everything in it my mpc just collecting dust

sorry but in that way you are not using MTC, to use MTC you need to turn ONLINE Pro Tools, now you have it synced using MMC
unfortunately I'm trying to find a way to use both MTC and MMC, the problem is that if you put Pro Tools ONLINE, when you push rec in Pro Tools and then push play in the MPC, the record button is disengaged and you can't record..
also, if you check, the MPC drift 10/12 ms after 35/40 bars
and I haven't figured out how to avoid this
