My grandmother had the same base but never upgraded the sewing machine. It never occurred to me I could put my zig zag '80's machine on that base!! Thanks for the info

Defiantly a nice item to have around, from what I've seen on your vids you would have no problem learning how to sew at least basic sewing. keep up the good work

if you don't mind my saying, i think you should leave the wood the way it is, every scratch on it has a story and memories of the people who used it. It's like carving your name on a tree, you leave it there. Like an old ship, if it could talk it would tell about the hardships and dangers and happy days too, lol, blessing to ya all

@truebelieving That was was essentially my wife's thoughts on it also. She felt that the wear and scratches give it some character.
