I was given this sewing machine. I thought it could be useful if we were faced with a situation without power for any long duration. Sewing with a machine like this could be a handy skill.

  • if you don't mind my saying, i think you should leave the wood the way it is, every scratch on it has a story and memories of the people who used it. It's like carving your name on a tree, you leave it there. Like an old ship, if it could talk it would tell about the hardships and dangers and happy days too, lol, blessing to ya all

  • @truebelieving That was was essentially my wife's thoughts on it also. She felt that the wear and scratches give it some character.

  • My grandmother had the same base but never upgraded the sewing machine. It never occurred to me I could put my zig zag '80's machine on that base!! Thanks for the info

  • thumbs up!

  • Cool video man, my mom has one like this at her house

  • @truebelieving Great idea!

  • I wish we hadn't gotten rid of my mom's. A cousin still might have it though. At least it's in the family.

  • great video

  • Defiantly a nice item to have around, from what I've seen on your vids you would have no problem learning how to sew at least basic sewing. keep up the good work
