my cat lost his voice and started to have these purr episodes for 2 min or so when he got too excited. Sadly he died a few weeks later. He was quite old from what the vet told me. (I adopted him from the street). I never had cats before him and he taught me what a beautiful and loving soul cats have.He was full of love and I will remember and love him for eternity. May you rest in peace "Hatooli".

  • alongoodboy,

I'll answer your question, "What makes you think I didn't do anything?"

You're initial post! It said NOTHING about the care you gave him (like you are stating now)........so, I responded to your initial post. Re-read your initial post a, see if you gather any information that you gave aid to your cat in the month prior to taking him to the vet, then dying the next day............nothing like that is stated. Next time, make you post more thorough to avoid jumping to conclusions.

  • @mamasingleton Maybe your the one who should try to avoid jumping to conclusion next time and accuse someone who his cat was one of the most dearest and loved creatures in his life in KILLING HIM! You could have just asked if the cat got any other treatment before you began your awful accusations. You can't expect people to give you the entire medical chart of their cat in 500 characters or less.

  • What a bunch of stupids...........it's obvious this cat was having trouble BREATHING and probably CHF or something and you did nothing for a whole month! And what a bunch of nit-wit posts. YOU KILLED YOUR CAT! Poor kitty - idiots don't deserve to have pets!

  • @mamasingleton What makes you think I didn't do anything?? I brought a vet home. He gave him steroid shots, and believed he won't make it in surgery because he was so old. I made steam bathes each day and sat with him near it to open his air ways.Gave him the best food.He was a street cat and just taking him to the vet has almost killed him!The shots he got there have surly what killed him the next day instead of me putting him to sleep when the time came without him feeling any pain.

  • Sadly my cat died about a month after this video.

His breathing got heavier and he had a hard time exhaling and eating.

I took him to the vet the night before he died and the blood tests were fine. From the xrays the vet thought he had a heart problem and astma.

He gave him some shots and fluids and pills for his heart. But the next day my cat just collapsed at home and died on the spot.

  • Before taking him to the vet and after you should have tried to stabilize him better (oxygen, sugared water, maybe nose drops). The stress was apparently too much for him. Good job for keeping him alive one month though. My cat died on the first day after showing open-mouth breathing (went from no symptoms in the morning to death in the evening).

  • I think he had fluid around the heart, if so he could have had it drained.

  • breaks my heart to see this

  • @mamasingleton - I would say the same for you --- Idiots shouldn't breed. You obviously don't / didn't know the circumstances of this person's video taping this .... he could have been doing it just so that he could show the vet if it wasn't a regular issue. Pure and simple.

Next time, try not jumping to conclusions, idiot.

  • Wow, aside from this cat being in a bad state of COPD or asthma, my first thought from your info was "thank heavens this cat got to come in off the street!". So many people would have been shallow and shooed the guy away. Thank you for giving him a warm place and better care than he had as a stray fending for himself. Thank you.

  • ;[

  • aw, at least he was with you. :( so sorry. if you took him off street, he was probally a Tom, and may have fought other cats, and got an infection in his mouth ? and a heart problem, like with people is not good. So glad you took him in, sorry he passed away. you did all you could. peace

  • Breaks my heart this video. I wept.

  • I feel you pain. Sorry for your loss. He was a beautiful animal. Pay no attention to the idiots who are leaving insensitive comments. They have never had to care for a sick animal and would not know what to do if they did. Only then would the understand the heart ache that goes with it.

  • @svetlanalupesku

    sorry -_-
